This privacy policy explains how Nosteria Games ("we", "us") handles data in the coloring apps we publish on Google Play and the App Store, and on the website nosteria.com. It is the single privacy policy for all of our apps, including:

  • Chibi Coloring (Android: com.coloring.book.drawing.education.painting.coloringhub; iOS)
  • Halloween Coloring (Android: com.coloringapps.halloween)
  • Unicorn Coloring (Android: com.coloringapps.unicorn)
  • Our other coloring apps listed under the developer name "Nosteria Games" on Google Play and the App Store

What we do not collect

Our apps do not ask for and do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, photos, contacts, precise (GPS) location or any account login. There is no sign-up, no chat and no way to share content with other users inside the apps. Artwork you color is stored only on your device unless you choose to share or save it yourself.

What the apps collect and why

  • A random app installation ID generated by the app (not linked to your identity), together with device model, operating system version, screen size, language, time zone and app version. Used to deliver the coloring content, keep your progress and rewards working, and fix device-specific problems.
  • IP address, received by our server when the app connects. Used to derive an approximate country and city for content and service operations; we do not use it to identify you.
  • Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), so the app can send reminders if notifications are allowed. You can turn notifications off in the app or system settings.
  • Usage and diagnostics data: which screens and features are used, crashes and app performance. Used to improve the apps and fix bugs.
  • Advertising data: our apps are free and show ads. Ad partners may receive device information and, where allowed, the advertising ID. See "Apps for children" for how this is limited in our kids apps.

We do not sell personal data.

Third parties we share data with

Data is processed by the following service providers only for the purposes above:

  • Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform — ads and consent (how Google uses data)
  • Google Firebase — Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring and Cloud Messaging (Firebase privacy)
  • PostHog — product analytics, in Chibi Coloring only; never in our apps for children (PostHog privacy)
  • Our own servers, hosted by DigitalOcean, and image delivery through Cloudflare

Apps for children

Halloween Coloring and Unicorn Coloring are designed for children and take part in Google Play's Families programme. In these apps:

  • All ad requests are marked as child-directed (COPPA) and limited to content rated for general audiences (G). Ads are not personalised and are not based on the child's behaviour.
  • The apps do not access the advertising ID, and Firebase Analytics is configured not to collect it and not to use data for ad personalisation.
  • PostHog analytics is not used.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the technical data listed above, which is used only to run and support the app.

We follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR. Parents can ask us to delete the data associated with their child's device at [email protected].

Your choices

  • In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing ads, and you can change it later from Settings → Privacy Settings in the app.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
  • Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device.

Security

Data between the apps and our servers travels over HTTPS, and device registration data is additionally encrypted (AES-GCM). Access to our servers and databases is restricted to the developer.

Retention and deletion

We keep the installation record (installation ID, device details, approximate location and notification token) while the app is in use, and delete it within 30 days when you ask us to at [email protected] — please include the app name. Analytics, crash and advertising data held by Google and PostHog are kept according to their retention settings (Google Analytics: 14 months).

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
